Huai’an International Convention and Exhibition Center

It is the major architectural goal was to design the center as a unique landmark. Therefore any analogy to existing trade fair halls or convention centers in other cities or countries had to be clearly avoided. The expressive shape of the buildings is produced by folded surfaces which continue the grid of the plaza and develop a sculptural idea of architecture. Clad surfaces alter with glass areas so that a clear rhythm is produced which provide structure to the comparatively big building. At the same time the building is energy saving by highly insulated cladding structures as well as double skin glass structures.
