UMBAU. Nonstop Transformation is the catalog accompanying the exhibition series of the same name, presented in Venice, Hamburg, Berlin, New York, Shanghai, and Munich from 2023 to 2025. At each venue, a curated selection from nearly 100 renovation projects was shown, tailored to the respective thematic focus. The publication documents all of the projects on display, complemented by essays by Florian Heilmeyer, Stephan Schütz, Volkwin Marg, and Detlef Jessen-Klingenberg, as well as an index of all gmp conversion projects that have been completed, are currently under construction, or are in the planning phase. The book was published in German and English in fall 2024, followed by a Chinese edition and a second, revised and expanded German edition in 2025.
