National Convention and Exhibition Center
The National Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin is set to have the third-largest internationally significant exhibition grounds after Shanghai and Guangzhou. Thanks to its favorable location in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the exhibition venue could become the portal for North China. Besides creating a distinguished commercial and economic framework, the complex is efficiently organized. The entire exhibition space is on one level. The entrance hall, which is covered by filigree canopies, marks the center of the grounds, with exhibition halls on either side. A central concourse connects the entrance hall to the exhibition halls. Several large restaurants, service functions, and conference rooms are arranged along the concourse, between the halls. The halls’ shed-like roof structure allows daylight to penetrate the interior.
