Gallery
The heterogeneous building complex will be enclosed in an urban architectural ensemble by directly connecting it to the existing WZL and IPT institute buildings. All usable spaces are grouped in a U-formation around the central machine hall, which forms the heart of the new building. These spaces are directly accessible from the machine hall and from open galleries in the upper floors with instant access to the test bays. The building form is articulated by the galleries and hallways and is joined with a roofed bridge on the south side on the fourth floor to the old Herwart-Opitz-Haus building.
