Nicolas Pomränke


Nicolas Pomränke studied architecture at TU Braunschweig, from where he graduated in 1998. Since then he has been working for gmp · Architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners where, in 2002, he was involved in establishing the practice’s first Chinese office in Beijing; he became Partner in 2021. The projects for which he has been responsible include the Zhongguancun Cultural Center in Beijing, the Grand Theaters in Qingdao and Tianjin, the Tsingtau Center in Qingdao, the museum in Zhuhai, and the Kulturpalast in Dresden. He is currently working on the Zhengzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center and the Kardinal-Döpfner-Haus in Freising. In addition, Nicolas Pomränke has been teaching at the aac (Academy for Architectural Culture) since 2009.
