Its objective is to encourage companies to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies on the basis of 10 universal principles in the fields of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and to report on their implementation.

VdS 10000 is a catalog of IT security measures designed to meet the needs of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The VdS certificate confirms that the respective enterprise is prepared organizationally, technically, and preventively to deal with the most relevant attack scenarios, including appropriate processes and protective measures.
