Markus Pfisterer has been with gmp · von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects in Berlin since 2000 and became a partner in 2026. He studied at the University of Stuttgart and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. The conversion and expansion of the Pressehaus am Alexanderplatz in Berlin, the Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan, the National Stadium in Warsaw, and the conversion of the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid are some of the projects he has been responsible for. Currently, Markus Pfisterer is working on the refurbishment of Bellevue Palace in Berlin, among other projects.
