Christian Hoffmann


Christian Hoffmann studied architecture at Aachen Technical University (RWTH). He joined von Gerkan, Marg and Partners at the Aachen office in 1987, and from 1987 to 1992 he was Scientific Assistant at the Chair of Urban Design and Material Studies at Aachen Technical University, which was then chaired by Prof. Marg. He has been in charge of the Aachen office since 1992 — since 2021 in the capacity of Partner. Projects directed by him include the A 380 maintenance shop for Lufthansa, Frankfurt, the Century Lotus Sports Park in Foshan, China, the RheinEnergie stadium in Cologne, the National Stadium in Bucharest, the Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport extension, and the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, among others. He is further responsible for the expansion of the University Hospital in Cologne and the University Hospital in Erlangen as well as for the construction of the new Central Hospital in Georgsheil.
