Overarching text contributions by Volkwin Marg, Magdalena Weiß, and Wu Wei place the 54 projects—organized by typology—into broader thematic contexts. The documented period ranges from highly acclaimed buildings such as the Isarphilharmonie in Munich, the Changzhou Culture Plaza, and the Asia Financial Center & AIIB Headquarters, to the building complex Alter Wall and Berlin Brandenburg Airport, as well as unrealized projects and masterplans—including Chengdu Future City, the Elbbrücken city entrance, the repurposing of Berlin Tegel Airport, and the design for the Städtische Bühnen in Frankfurt am Main.
